Elizabeth is a pharmacist with 34 years of working experience in the public sector in various capacities. After graduating with a B. Pharm degree from the University of Nairobi in 1979, she worked as a hospital pharmacist for two years and then proceeded to the University of Bath in 1982, where she graduated with an M.Sc in Pharmacy, specializing in Pharmaceutical Analysis.
Elizabeth subsequently held several positions in the Ministry of Health key amongst which was Ag. Chief Pharmacist, Pioneer Director of the National Quality Control Laboratory and Senior Deputy Chief Pharmacist in charge of Appropriate Medicines Use. Her last major post was as the Pioneer County Minister for Health Services and Promotion of Health Investments in Kisumu County.
